Abstract

At the beginning of 1948, in which I became part of the Geology and Mining Institute of the National University of Tucumán in Jujuy, I had the opportunity to examine some few graptolytic remains from Cerro San Bernardo de Salta, existing in the collections of the Mineralogy and Geology Section. Since then the collections of graptolytic material have increased greatly, due to the fortunate discoveries of unknown graptolytic horizons that have shown that this special facies has a role of indisputable importance for the Tremadocian and Arenigian series of the Argentine North.
