Abstract

Scheelite occurs in folded granulite beds interstratified with Precambrian mica schist at Cerro Los Cocos, Province of San Luis. Scheelite, tourmaline, pyrite and scapolite originated by replacement of the granulite by pneumatolytic fluids arising from magma related to the nearby tonalite intrusive of the Pampa de Tamboreo, probably during folding of the rocks.
