Abstract

The rocks ol Cerro El Morro district, San Luis, are Precambrian mica schist, guelss and crystalline limestone, all eat by pegmatite and aplite dikes and quartz veins that are related to granite that erops out only at San Luis del Morro. Scheelite occurs in four didferent ussociations: in pegmatitie veinlets, micaceous veinlets, quartz veins and tactite deposits replacing limestone. Wolframite occurs in quartz veins. The technically important types of deposits are those of tactice and quartz. Loma Blanca, Cerro Morro and El Peje are among the most important mines,
