A fossil egg from the Rocanense

Abstract

The finding of an egg in the fossil state is always a paleontologically interesting fact, especially when it is not carried out in tertiary and quaternary continental sediments where the remains of bird eggs are relatively frequent. It must be even more interesting when such a find is made in Argentina, where, if we exclude some Rhea eggs, generally in fragments, found in Pleistocene and Holocene sediments, we have no news about the existence of fossil eggs.
